The unique fabric the mats are made from was sourced from Guizhou in southwest China, woven by Shui people, an ethnic minority local to the region. The fabric is first handwoven then and hand-dyed with natural pigments using traditional techniques. I absolutely love the colourful worlds they create and wanted to find a way to bring it to the tea table. Each piece was designed and lovingly hand-stitched by me.
